In most places across upper Michigan summer time temperatures have reached into the 90's but that wasn't hot enough to melt all the snow as Mark Mezydlo of Mohawk, MI found out in this Facebook video.
Side Note: See all the
sawdust.. Years ago settlers would cut ice from
lakes, then pack it in and under sawdust to keep it into July sometimes even later. In
Quinnesec, MI they stored it underground in a place known as "Devil's Ice Box" packed in sawdust so the town would have ice all winter long.
Whether this was done on purpose or by accident, we'll never know unless Mark has something funny to offer....
Brought to you from the U.P. of Michigan where I live and blog from.. Lets go on an adventure somewhere in the upper peninsula of Michigan!

The Eben Ice Caves in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (Video)
When was the last time you
visited the EBEN ICE CAVES
in Michigan's Upper Peninsula?
Not too far off of Highway 41, down a snow covered road near Eben Junction you'll find a parking lot right in front of someones house in the middle of a huge field. There is a line of portable toilets for those in need, they also have a concession stand set up for a quick snack before/after your long hike.
One new item they have that you will want are ICE CLEATS for just $7 ($13 deposit that you'll get back). They are well worth it and after watching people who didn't get them, you'll know why.. Also prepare yourself for a long hike with lots of hills along the way, you may even wind up with the wrong end up.
Stay on the packed path..
Single file, once you go knee deep you'll know..
Mostly downhill on the way there..
Some beautiful winter views to be seen...
Remember the cleats? You'll be happy by now!
After almost a mile hike, you made it!!

If you thought the inside was cool,
I bet you love these from the outside!
