In most places across upper Michigan summer time temperatures have reached into the 90's but that wasn't hot enough to melt all the snow as Mark Mezydlo of Mohawk, MI found out in this Facebook video.
Side Note: See all the
sawdust.. Years ago settlers would cut ice from
lakes, then pack it in and under sawdust to keep it into July sometimes even later. In
Quinnesec, MI they stored it underground in a place known as "Devil's Ice Box" packed in sawdust so the town would have ice all winter long.
Whether this was done on purpose or by accident, we'll never know unless Mark has something funny to offer....
